Jerusalem - Christian Tour
We will begin with a breathtaking view of Old Jerusalem, from Mt. Olive, visit the holy shrines on the Mount and walk on down the "Palm Sunday road", visiting the chapel of Dominus Flavit (where Jesus wept) en route to the Church of All Nations in Gethsemane Garden and the Tomb of Mary in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
A short walk takes us past the Lion's gate and onto Via Dolorosa, following the Stations of the Cross and finishing up in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We will have toured the final five Stations of the Cross.
Completing our tour in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we will walk to the 'Western Wall' and then through the Jewish quarter to the excavated Byzantine Cardo, passing through the ancient wall which dates from the 8th century BC. We will continue to the Zion gate in the Armenian quarter, strolling outside old Jerusalem's city walls, to Mt. Zion. Here we will tour the room of the Last Supper, King David's tomb and Jerusalem's Church of the Dormition, which is dedicated to Our Lady.
We will finish our day in the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, which is built over the ruins of the Palace of Caiaphas.
